Apple patents the virtual page turn

Apple is now the proud owner of the page turn.
In a patent approved this week by the United States Patent Office Apple was awarded a design patent for

“Display screen or portion thereof with animated graphical user interface.”

    typical. Apple: “We build the obvious and make it seem special”
    Apple has enough money to patent every “obvious” thing and the Patent office is dumb enough to approve them.

    If Apple were in the publishing business, they might patent the hyphen. — eff

    Well not really.
    Well you could have patented it but you didn’t so who is the dumb one? 😉

    If you don’t patent something you are doing then someone else does and then you have to pay them.
    The only weird thing about this is that it hadn’t already happened.

      Patent should never have been issued

      Page turn is not an invention. Many computer programs for decades have shown a page turn. Apple made nothing new and a patent should not have been issued.

    Looking at it it is for that particular design of page turning, not page turning in general.

    ‘ animated-graphical user interface, as shown and described.’
    Shown and described by those 3 photos.

    Theres a lot of citations on that patent isn’t there
