The Last Train from Hiroshima: The Survivors Look Back (John MacRae Books) is now priced at $89.99 on Amazon. Amazon itself no longer sells copies. The copies for sale are by 3rd party vendors on Amazon.

would the Kindle version be collectible?

since the publisher could update the text, and amazon could delete or alter the text, how would a Kindle edition of a withdrawn book be affected (since you can't resell it anyway)?

this would be a great test... but there is no Kindle version... clearly, the unabridged audiobook price remains unaffected... so people enjoy reading mistakes more than listening to them?
