So instead of vandalizing the city why not help some people? The money spent on the cans of spray paint could have bought someone a coat. The graffiti artist feels like they are helping but they are not.

The city will also spend money to get the graffiti removed and that is more money wasted. And if it is private property that is vandalized that person is out money they could have done something else with.
