Shy Librarian Teaming Up With The Public Library Association

I'm way behind on this one...

The Public Library Association (PLA) has entered into an agreement with Joseph Cadieux, publisher of the quarterly journal "The Shy Librarian," to distribute the journal to PLA's members. Beginning with the Spring 2003 issue and ending with the Winter 2004 issue, PLA will mail each issue of "The Shy Librarian" magazine to all of its members at no charge to the members.
The Shy Librarian" is a quarterly print magazine, which focuses "promoting libraries, librarians, and books," with many articles on library marketing, public relations and programming. It also features many reviews of new books for all ages, as well as reviews of professional books.

"This is a great opportunity to provide our members with library marketing and PR information they can use and at the same time provide exposure for this quality independent library-related journal," said Jo Ann Pinder, PLA president. "We see this as just another way to provide added value for a PLA membership."
