NYLA's Michael Borges Advocates for Buffalo and Erie County Public Libraries

The New York Library Association, in partnership with Libby Post of
Communication Services, has created an Online Advocacy website to aid
local efforts to prevent a $4 million cut in funding to the Buffalo &
Erie County Public Library that will result in the layoff of more than
100 library staff and a drastic reduction in operating hours and
services to the 900,000 people who live in Erie County.

If you are a resident of Erie County, I urge you to go
http://voteyesforourlibrary.org/eriebuffalo/ and send an email to
your county legislator to ask them to reject the County Executive’s
proposed $4 million cut.

Please forward this to any friends or colleagues who live in Erie
County. Thank you for your assistance.
