Reading the article, the library's in California's Nevada County, not actually in Nevada.
Where's the money saving?
Library Systems Services, LLC (LSSI) is the only organization to offer a bid for the entire management of the Nevada County Library system. LSSI has a track record, and I have been unable to find a single instance of LSSI having saved a community any money.
Matt Sylvain, librarian at Dartmouth, when I asked him if he knew of a single case of a community that actually saved money by contracting with LSSI, wrote this to me today:
"I'm not aware of such a community, but I haven't looked at (or have had access to) all the data.
Ward's article [see reference below. DEP] notes that in Calabasas, the community did initially see savings. However, the savings were short lived, and the increased cost of the LSSI run system soon outpaced the increase in services. "

Stop being so dumb
You people are idiots. Riverside County Library was goin to shut down and LSSI came in and save that whole branch. Look up all the facts, not just what you want to see
