CNET’s Greg Sandoval brings word of a bill in the New York State legislature prohibiting anonymous communications online. This proposal follows on from another New York State proposal discussed by David Kravetz at Wired.

It’s what politicians can get away with at any specific time
After all, American’s seem to be able to pick and choose what other amendments mean and which ones to ignore or repeal (guns, the value of black people, women etc) and even to add other ones so why not tweak these ones?
All comes down to definitions. As long as you don’t stop people talking or censor it that’s not against the first amendment. I don’t see anonimity in the amendment.
