SNOPES: Photograph shows a library facade lined with giant-sized representations of books

A new Urban Legend over on Snopes: "Photograph shows a library facade lined with giant-sized representations of books."

Supposedly this photograph is of the Kansas City Library in Kansas City Mo. Kansas City has 30 branch libraries under the umbrella of the Mid-Continent Public Library network. Unfortunately, their website does not depict any of the libraries. I want to know if this photograph is legit.

You probably already know the answer...

Gulliver library

appears to be the same as the Lemuel Gulliver personal library depicted here

Kansas City Public Library

Yes, that is the Kansas City Public Library Main Branch. In fact the picture of Lemuel Gulliver personal library appears to be the Kansas City Public Library from a different angle.

Kansas City Public Library vs. Mid-Continent Public Library

I just wanted to clarify that the Kansas City Metro has 5 individual library systems. The Metro includes a Kansas City (Missouri) Public Library system and a Kansas City (Kansas) Public Library system along with the Mid-Continent Public Library's system.
