University of Illinois-Chicago Archives of CAC to ReOpen

The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Library announced today that its archive of documents from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge will be available on August 26, 2008.
On August 19,2008 the University of Illinois had refused to release records relating to Barack Obama’s service to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a nonprofit group linked to former 1960s radical activist William Ayers.
The University’s Chicago campus said the donor of the records that document the work of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge had not yet turned over ownership rights to the material.

Shoots that down

The National Review's comspiracy theory is fairly well shot down.

I don't think there are many places or people organized enough to pull off a good old fashioned conspiracy. Heck the entire DMV has not been able to spell my name right for decades. It must be the great apostrophe conspiracy.

Nice of the staff at the Daley library to make it available so quickly. This just shows that librarians do indeed believe in open access.
